Option A: Faucet Installation (Models: PL, DL)

Ideal if you do not have a countertop hole.

 

Requirements

  • Standard sink faucets (round aerator) are compatible
  • Pull-down / Pull-out / Shower style faucets are not compatible 

Steps

  1. Remove the aerator from your faucet.
  2. Attach the faucet adapter.
  3. Attach the water regulator and dust filter to the faucet adapter’s hose connection.
  4. Connect the white hose from the faucet adapter to the ionizer’s “IN” port.
  5. Connect the grey hose to the ionizer’s “OUT” port.
  6. Turn on your faucet and switch the adapter lever toward the ionizer.
  7. Allow the unit to run on Purified Water for 3 minutes to flush the filter.

Notes

  • If the adapter does not fit, your faucet may be non-standard; under-sink installation will be required.
  • Faucet installation allows quick switching between regular tap water and ionized water.

Option B: Under-Sink Installation (Models: PL, DL)

Ideal for a clean look with your machine on the counter and the water source hidden.

 

Requirements

  • Countertop hole: 1-1/4" to 1-3/8"
  • Standard under-sink cold water valve: 1/2" adapter provided
  • If your valve is 3/8", contact us for the correct adapter. 

Steps

  1. Shut off the cold water valve under your sink.
  2. Install the included ½” T-adapter to the cold water valve.
  3. Attach the water regulator and dust filter to the T-adapter’s hose connection.
  4. Connect the white hose from the T-adapter to the ionizer "IN" port.
  5. Connect the grey hose to the ionizer’s “OUT” port.
  6. Turn water back on and check for leaks.
  7. Allow the unit to run on Purified Water for 3 minutes to flush the filter.

PL-MAX Installation (Smart Faucet Model)

The PL-MAX offers a premium under-sink installation using its digital smart faucet.

 

Requirements

  • Countertop hole: 1-1/4" to 1-3/8"
  • Standard under-sink cold water valve: 1/2" adapter provided
  • If your valve is 3/8", contact us for the correct adapter. 

Steps

Install the PL-MAX Faucet

  1. Insert the faucet through the countertop hole.
  2. Secure it underneath with the mounting bracket.
  3. Connect the faucet cables and hoses to the ionizer body.

Connect the Water Supply

  1. Shut off the cold water valve.
  2. Install the T-adapter.
  3. Connect the white hose from the T-adapter to the ionizer "IN" port.
  4. Connect the 1/4" white hose from faucet to the white elbow part on top of the ionizer body.
  5. Connect thicker acidic hose from faucet to the ionizer "OUT" port.
  6. Turn water back on and check for leaks.
  7. Allow the unit to run on Purified Water for 3 minutes to flush the filter.

Adjusting the Flow Rate

Flow rate is critical for accurate pH and ORP performance.

How to Adjust

The handle on the adapter controls flow. 

  • Aligned with hose = higher flow
  • Perpendicular to hose = lower flow

Recommended Flow Setting

  • 2.0 – 2.5 L/min for best ionization
  • Max: 3.0 L/min
  • If flow is below 1.0 L/min, remove the water regulator connected to the white hose.
  • If flow drops below 0.5 L/min, you will hear the voice warning:
    “Purified water level is low.”

FAQ

There are two things you need to do to keep your water ionizer in top notch. Filter replacements and machine cleanings. Filter replacements are required every six months or 1000 gallons of use, whichever comes first. A cleaning of the inside of the machine is recommended once a year using our cleaning kit to prevent calcium build-up on the electrode plates.

Yes, the machine has a voice alert and the filter replacement sign will show on your machine's screen when it is time to replace the filter.

If there is no power in your machine, it is likely the fuse that has to be replaced. The fuse is located on the back of the water ionizer.
